Shiloh turned six weeks old last Thursday and I can hardly believe how quickly the time is flying by. Not surprisingly, none of the traditional milestones (i.e., rolling over, crawling, walking, talking, etc.) have been met, but all of her newborn reflexes are intact and she can now imitate us when we stick out our tongues. She has also had the ability to hold her head up since day 3. The only real problem, as far as we can see, is that she's not even close to sleeping through the night.

Fortunately, with all of the help we've had in town these last two weeks, Michelle has been able to steal a nap here and there. Our efforts to drive down the number of times she wakes at night have also started to take effect & we're now averaging just 2-3 wakings per night.

Wow, Jude, that is the cutest picture ever of Shiloh! Seriously cute. Not at all lump-like. Nice work! Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I saw the blog posting, and I'm feeling really low that I haven't called you guys at all since I've been back in Australia. Aimee and I had such a great time with you, Michelle and Shiloh in Mississippi, and I've been totally remiss in not keeping that line open. I'll try and remedy that soon, I promise! In the meantime, perhaps you can provide us with an update on that most important of milestones: does Shiloh STILL look like a pirate!?!

Double wow. What a cute girl! Where does she get all that personality at such a young age? Isn't it supposed to take a bit longer?

Super cutie! That's a great picture. The sleeping through the night will come...although it may take a while. 2-3 times per night is pretty good! I have a friend with a 4.5 month old who still wakes up about every two hours!
